Stone Sculpture

Jennifer Tetlow was introduced to the possibilities of carving and sculpting in stone many years ago as a consequence of living in an area with a strong history of quarrying and tradition of stoneworking.  She became a full-time sculptor in 1999 and is self-taught. All pieces are crafted from natural stone, a fine grained, honey coloured Yorkshire sandstone, chosen for its durability and fine weathering qualities.                          The stone is hand carved, using traditional tools and methods, each piece having the wonderful individuality and character special to work created from  a natural raw material.             The range of garden ornaments and sculpture are designed to make special features or add finishing touches to a garden, to embellish and personalise .             If you would  like further information or details, or wish to visit her workshop, please contact Jennifer Tetlow by telephone    or e-mail.
