York Minster Stone Carving Festival 2018

Festival Dates:  17 – 19 August 2018

Venue:  Dean’s Park, York Minster

Masons, carvers, sculptors and stonework apprentices from across the UK and Europe will take part in a weekend festival celebrating the craft of stone carving.

The Theme for the festival is ‘All Creatures Great and Small’

The carved stones will be auctioned on Sunday afternoon and a prize presented to the best stone, judged by the participants.

Friday 17th August – Minster Stoneyard Open

Saturday 18th August – Festival runs 8 am – 6 pm

Sunday 19th August – Festival runs 8 am – 5 pm     Festival Auction 3.30 pm
