Eye-catching spring sunshine

View from the workshop - spring sunshine

The view from my workshop.  Sometimes you have to just down-tools, pause and let in the beauty of your surroundings.

From inside the workshed I was aware of it, a light change of sudden dramatic intensity, it flowed in and over everything, a dazzling spectacle cast in green and gold.  I felt the weight of it.

The day was cold, with rain, then this surprising turn to sunshine – only moments and then all gone and I wanted to chase its enthralling glamour.  It was spell-binding, soul-catching.

So it is with spring sunshine, now it is back to work in the grey, uplifted and still a bit stunned.

a burst of sunshine and a rainbow! I often stop to wander outside when I am doing model making so that I can rest my eyes and focus on things far away instead of close up.

Usually I find it is my shoulders and neck that need a rest when I’m working up close – and I often find I’ve been clenching my teeth for some reason, so my jaw needs a rest too!
